The advanced-design lumber mill for versatile heavy-duty use. Converts rough logs into beautiful slabs or perfectly dimensioned lumber in thicknesses from ½" to 12". Frame design assures precision milling and easy installation. No bar drilling, the MKIII clamps on the chain saw bar. For optional cutting efficiency all sizes will adjust to accommodate different bar sizes. Adjustments for broad thickness and width are made in seconds.

We recommend a ripping chain for smoother faster cuts. The Alaskan comes in five sizes: 24", 30", 48", and 56". This measurement is the length of the rail and handle set. A 24" mill will fit on bars smaller that 24". The outboard post and bracket adjust in to fit your bar size. All the mills will adjust to cut from 1/2" to a maximum of 13". Maximum width of cut is determined by the workable length of your saw bar and the width of the mill on which it is mounted. For example, the 24" mill when mounted on a 24" bar will cut 21". The outboard post and clamp have to be mounted in from the end of the bar and the inboard post has to be at least an inch away from the power head. The maximum width you can cut with any mill will always be at least 2" less than the length of the rail and handle. |
